LONDON – Daniel Benjamin Wheeler has been selected to join BAFTA Connect, a programme from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) aimed at supporting talented emerging and mid-career professionals.

BAFTA, an independent arts organisation, is known for its annual awards, which celebrate excellence across film, television, and games. In addition to its awards, BAFTA offers initiatives that foster education, talent development, and industry collaboration.

BAFTA Connect focuses on nurturing creative growth among the next generation of industry professionals and offers access to industry events, peer-to-peer networking, and BAFTA’s hub at 195 Piccadilly.

Wheeler is excited and committed to collaborating with fellow creatives and actively participating in critical discussions, with a particular focus on promoting best practices in documentary filmmaking. He is especially passionate about advancing ethical storytelling and trauma-sensitive reporting, ensuring that narratives are crafted responsibly and with care for the communities and individuals they represent.
